Workshop Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identify common signs and sources of resistance to change.
- Participants will understand the emotional and intellectual factors that contribute to resistance.
- Participants will learn specific strategies for addressing resistance, including communication techniques and proactive interventions.
- Participants will be able to apply a framework for creating a more change-receptive culture within their organization.
- Participants will be able to create an action plan for addressing resistance to a specific change initiative within their organization.

Meet the Facilitator:
Darryl Shelton
Darryl has nearly 30 years of experience in education and leadership, holding roles such as VP of Sales, COO, and CEO. He is a facilitator, coach, consultant, and university faculty member, translating academic thought into practice for leaders. He earned an M.Ed from Arizona State University, is a certified coach, and is expanding his education through SHRM certification and an Ed.D in community college leadership. Based in downtown Grand Rapids, MI, Darryl thrives in a vibrant community. He is an experienced leader in sales, leadership training, creative thinking, and curriculum development, and a dynamic speaker who challenges participants to think in new ways.
